SCHOOL OF PRACTICAL NURSING COMMENDED BY STATE BOARD
The Prince William County School of Practical Nursing, under the direction of Bette Sneed, has been commended by the Board of Nursing of the Commonwealth of Virginia for the performance of its 1997 graduating class on the nursing licensing examination. One hundred percent of the twenty-six member class passed the examination as first-time candidates.
"The Board (of Nursing) has asked me to express congratulations to your program and its graduates for outstanding performance on the nursing licensing exam," said Judy K. Vipperman, MSN, RN, assistant executive director of the Board of Nursing, in a letter to Sneed. "Such excellence in achievement is to be commended."
In addition to Sneed, the program's staff includes instructors Carolyn Hyman, Jean Johnson, Beverly Marolda, and Charlene Welch.
The Prince William County School of Practical Nursing will hold its twenty-eighth annual graduation ceremony (class of 1998) on Friday, May 1, 1998, at 7:30 p.m. at Stonewall Jackson High School, 8820 Rixlew Lane, Manassas.
