GAUDET NAMED TEACHER OF THE YEAR OF GIFTED STUDENTS

Jean Gaudet, gifted education teacher at Potomac High School, has been selected as the 1998 Teacher of the Year by the Prince William Association for Education of the Gifted (PWAEG).

"Jean gives 110 percent of her time to teaching," said parent Juanie Uribe in nominating Gaudet for the award. "She is like the Energizer Bunny, she just keeps going and going and going."

Gaudet has been an educator in the Prince William County Public Schools for twenty-seven years. She worked as a librarian at both Stonewall Jackson and Potomac high schools and has been the gifted education teacher at Potomac for four years.
