Osbourn Park High School DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) students competed in the International Career Development Conference held on April 24 through April 29, 2001, in Anaheim, California.   DECA students initially competed at the Virginia DECA State Leadership Conference held at the McLean Hilton on March 16 through 18, 2001 and then, qualified to compete in California.  

Brendan Sorem and Christopher Morgan received Awards of Excellence for their performance in the Sports Marketing Management Team Decision Making event. 

Christine Piry received an Award of Excellence for her performance in the Entrepreneurship Written Event.  Competing against 180 state and provincial winners from the United States and Canada, Christine placed fourth at the conference.
