 C.D. HYLTON HIGH SCHOOL TO BE HONORED FOR “STAYING IN THE GAME”

C.D. Hylton High School will receive a “Stay in the Game” award from the Virginia High School League in October. This award is only presented to schools that did not have any players or coaches ejected during the last school year.  The award, sponsored by Wachovia Bank, emphasizes sportsmanship.  This is the first time Hylton, along with 77 other schools out of 294 possible schools, will receive the award.  According to Robert Benson, Principal, “We received this award thanks to Jim Qualls, Activities Director, and all of our coaches emphasizing both excellence and sportsmanship at Hylton.”
