Gar-Field High School will receive a “Stay in the Game” award from the Virginia High School League in October.  This award is only presented to schools that did not have any players or coaches ejected during the last school year.  The award, sponsored by Wachovia Bank, emphasizes sportsmanship.  According to Chuck Robinson, Activities Director at Gar-Field, “We are very proud of our coaches, players and fans.  Sportsmanship is the primary emphasis for our coaching staff.”
