FEATHERSTONE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS FULLY ACCREDITED

Based on revised calculations of scores for preliminary 2002 Standards of Learning (SOL) tests, Featherstone Elementary School in Woodbridge has earned full state accreditation.  To celebrate the school’s success, Principal Linda Dockery, along with her staff, is planning a student celebration on Friday, November 15.  Fun is in the air.  Kindergarteners, first, second and third graders will receive special treats provided by Dockery.  Fourth and fifth graders will dance the afternoon away, stepping into the electric slide and cha-cha.  During the first quarter Awards Assembly on Monday, November 18, Dockery will announce their upgraded status to parents.

This change will bring to forty-three the number of Prince William County Schools that will be Fully Accredited.  This is an increase of twenty-three schools from 2001-02.  The number of elementary schools Fully Accredited rose from nineteen to twenty-nine.
