Achievements which enabled King to be selected as a School of Excellence
were the following:

At King the entire staff provides a warm, nurturing environment that fosters
learning; they seek out the means to help each student.

A school-family partnership was established which added to the instructional
efforts of all teachers by providing student tutoring, classroom assistance,
and support in the library.

The King PTO conducted monthly family activities aimed at bringing families
into the school. Families have come to see the school as “Their School”
and a place where they belong.
