At Mountain View, a variety of strategies were implemented to
bring students to the summit. Some of those strategies were:

Recognizing the importance of literacy and the impact of strong academics.

Teacher planning and instruction on specific objectives, with emphasis
on PWC curriculum and SOLs;

Conducting student remediation, tutoring and homework club sessions, and
utilizing teacher assistants and reading resource support; and

Partnering with the parent community to achieve staff and student success.
