Achievements which enabled Old Bridge to be selected as a School of
Excellence were the following:

At Old Bridge, the school spirit to achieve proficiency on the SOL is evident
throughout the building. The halls and walls “came alive” with
content review everywhere and the “smartie students showed what they knew!”

Teachers attended extensive staff development, such as SPOT for reading,
math, social studies, science.

Student programs such as Reading Buddies, Literacy Centers, and student
recognition were available to students.
