Kelly Rice, Custodial Coordinator
Facilities Management Services
Mr. Rice is commended for his outstanding response to a water leak on December 6, 2007 at Old Bridge Elementary School which caused several inches of standing water on the first floor and collapsed ceiling tile over the administration corridor. On this Code Red day, he and a custodial crew responded to this emergency quickly and professionally, extracting the water, cleaning up the debris, and getting the rooms ready for the return of staff and students.

Dr. Scott demonstrated courage on his way to work on December 19, 2007 when he assisted an elderly man escape from his burning house. His quick thinking and willingness to help shows his courage and compassion for others.

Ronald Clarke, Assistant Principal
Woodbridge High School
Mr. Clark is commended for outstanding performance and supervision of the renovation of Woodbridge High School. Mr. Clarke supervised all aspects of the restoration and continued to monitor walk-through and punch-out items the year following the completion. His relentless supervision resulted in an incredible transformation and an ecstatic staff.
Ronald L. Thompson, Retired Employee
Osbourn Park High School
Mr. Thompson assisted a student in an emergency situation. He came immediately to the rescue of the student, who had fallen and hit her head following a seizure. His professional manner and quick action helped to stabilize her until the paramedics arrived. His quick response to a serious situation demonstrates his initiative, high level of critical response training, and compassion for others.

Mrs. Drake is commended for her dedication and commitment to her students at Battlefield High School, and for her leadership in developing futurist curriculum in Career and Technology Education. She established a unique countywide interdisciplinary activity called SEAPerch, an underwater robotics program, which promotes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

In addition, he provided significant support and assistance to the countywide interdisciplinary activity called SEAPerch, an underwater robotics program, which promotes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Tiffany Villanueva, Data Control Specialist

Mrs. Villanueva received a Certificate of Achievement for dedicated service, skill set, and strong work ethic as Data Control Specialist in the Information Technology Office. Thanks to Ms. Villanueva’s efforts, the accuracy of PWCS data has vastly improved over the past few years. In addition, the program she developed this year enhanced our record collection and reporting, further improving accuracy and efficiency. This resulted in a $15,000 annual savings to PWCS.

Sal Colangelo, Teacher on Administrative Assignment
Potomac High School
Mr. Colangelo is commended for his dedication and loyalty to the students of Prince William County Schools. While working full time at Potomac High School as a Teacher on Administrative Assignment, he gave his time to the athletic department of Hylton High School. He assisted at Hylton during the absence of the Activities Director by scheduling sports and transportation; handling facilities concerns; and attending to other athletic responsibilities.
