SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS SCHEDULE

Meeting Schedule and Information:

  • School Board public meetings are held in the Edward L. Kelly Leadership Center, located at 14715 Bristow Rd., Manassas, VA 20112.   Get location directions.
  • The School Board meets during the school year on the first, and third Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m.
  • Board Briefs newsletter summarizes the actions taken by the School Board at each meeting. View them on the PWCS Web site or call 703.791.8720 or send an email to add your name to the mailing list.
  • Closed session meetings are held prior to the regular meetings at 6 p.m. Special meetings are called when necessary to conduct school business and are announced in advance through local news media. 
  • All School Board meetings, except closed sessions, are open to the public. Citizens are invited to attend and become informed about the operation of Prince William County Public Schools. Electronic School Board Agendas are available online in advance of meetings. 

 

Citizen Comment Time:

Citizens who wish to address the School Board must notify the Board Clerk:

  • Citizens who wish to address the Prince William County School Board should either notify the Board Clerk in writing or by electronic communications (e.g., telephone, email) prior to 12:00 noon on the day of the Board meeting, to be placed on the list of speakers for Citizen’s Comment time. However citizens may also sign onto the list of speakers maintained at the entrance to the School Board meeting room at the beginning of a regular Board meeting, but prior to 6:55 pm on the evening of the meeting. Any deviation from these procedures shall be at the discretion of the Chairman. All speakers must provide the School Board Clerk with their address and phone number in order to verify their residency and permit the Clerk to contact them if necessary. Upon request, the Clerk will not release to the general public the address and phone number of the speaker. Speakers must also identify the issue of public concern upon which they will be speaking.   • In writing, by telephone, or by email. Send notifications to the address below prior to 12:00 noon the day of the meeting. Please provide your name, address, phone number and topic you would like to speak about.
