The phone number for the SIGNET center housed at Buckland Mills is (571) 261-1390. Welcome to the Buckland Mills Gifted Education Center’s page at Alvey! Prince William County’s gifted education services are offered to students who qualify in general intellectual aptitude or specific academic aptitude. Our program is designed to offer a variety of educational opportunities that provide enrichment and extension of the classroom curriculum. Eligible students attend our center one day of each week. If our center is not housed in your child’s school, there is transportation provided by school bus to and from the gifted center. The days of attendance for each school we service are as follows: Monday: J.W. Alvey Elementary 4th Grade Tuesday: Buckland Mills and Mt. View Elementary 4th Grade Wednesday: J. W. Alvey Elementary 5th Grade Thursday: Buckland Mills and Mt. View Elementary 5th Grade If you are interested in referring your child to our program, please contact us at the gifted education center. We will be happy to speak with you about our program and the service we provide, as well as send you information and the referral documents. We are very excited about this challenging program, as are our students! |
