Welcome to the Third Grade web page for Ms. Coleman's class.
The third grade curriculum is challenging and interesting for both the
students and myself. I enjoy learning with my class about Ancient
civilizations, animal adaptations, and explorers. We will also be
spending a lot of our time reviewing and practicing for the Virginia
Standards of Learning tests coming this spring. The Reading First
grant is offering to us many opportunities for reading lots and lots of
great books! We will continue to learn and grow and prepare ourselves
for the future....together!
Parents....please be sure to check and sign your child's agenda daily.
Homework assignments are written in the agendas every afternoon and
are checked for parent signatures each morning. Students in my class
have at least one homework assignment every night, except for
Fridays. They are required to read for at least 30 minutes each night,
including weekends. A special reading homework booklet will be
provided for each student. Special projects or activities will be
highlighted in the agendas. Please feel free to contact me at any time
