WELCOME TO
MRS. MARTINDALE'S SECOND GRADE CLASS

Dear Second Grade Families,

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tamatha Martindale and I am honored to be your child’s second grade teacher. This is my sixth year of teaching but first year at Belmont Elementary and my second year in Prince William County. I have previously taught preschool, K-3 special education and 6/7 grade.   I received my B.S. degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from New Mexico State University.

I am very excited about this school year and look forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead. I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.   You can send me a note, e-mail me or call me at school.   I will also do my part to update you on what we have been doing in class as well as things that are upcoming.   For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note home, or e-mail you (if an e-mail address is provided).

Please feel free to participate in your child's second grade year as much as you are able. Helping hands are always needed and welcome. I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your child!

Sincerely,

Tamatha Martindale
