Regular attendance is a necessity! Homework is an important
responsibility. Students must read every night. Math facts, telling time,
counting change, and measuring are reinforced easily at home. Read to
your child, and encourage your child to read and participate in the
Accelerated Reader program.
School is serious! Proper rest and nutrition are essential to achieve
proficiency. Expectations are clearly stated in the Virginia Standards of
Learning. Be sure your child's vision is adequate! Four out of ten
children in the U.S. have problems. I have a list of symptoms of visual
problems which you may borrow.
We exercise daily. Please be sure your child wears safe shoes. I
recommend jumping rope at home.
Each child needs paper, pencils, and a signed agenda.
