Title I is a federal program designed to provide additional assistance through early
intervention.
We identify and work with the students in grades 1 and 3 who are "at risk" in their
quest to become readers and writers a the same pace as their classmates. With early
intervention, these students are given the skills and strategies that they need in a
timely manner, before they fall behind their peers.
At Belmont Elementary School we are a community of learners. We will work
together with Title I families, the students, the classroom teachers, in a "team
Effort" that is crucial to student success. We have a shared responsibility for high
performance, and we work hard to provide the greatest possible learning experiences
for our students.
