WELCOME TO MY WEB PAGE
Salutations to Students and Parents:

Thanks for checking out the 4th Grade Web Page at Belmont Elementary School! I am happy to be living in the beautiful Commonwealth of Virginia as of August, 2006, when I moved down from Rochester, New York. I received both my undergraduate degree in Business Management, as well as my Masters Degree in Education (Certified Grades 1-6 in General and Special Education) in Rochester, at St. John Fisher College and Nazareth College, respectively.

Teaching Objective

My teaching objective is to challenge each student to use their mind and senses; to guide their intrinsic and dynamic natural progression for learning. My goal is to engage each student in learning cognitively, affectively, socially and physically in meaningful activities that facilitate their learning.

Parents

A vital component of each child's success is parental involvement. Providing them consistent and positive reinforcement, allowing them to try things on their own, supporting their failures on the path to success, and encouraging them to take risks are all important facets of their academic and character growth.

Help me teach them to take responsibility and enjoy the rewards of their effort. If children know we care, they care about their achievement.

Additionally, I welcome any parents/guardians in my classroom at anytime. However, I can better be prepared for you if we establish some kind of schedule. Please call me or send me an email/note in the agenda, if you wish to volunteer in the classroom or for field trips/special events. Also, if you have a special expertise in an area that we are studying and wish to share, please contact me.

Fourth Grade Objectives:

To build a strong classroom community; where collaboration and team work are key.
To provide active learning experiences that engages all students.
To foster learning through meeting the variety of needs that may exist within the classroom community.
To listen, laugh, learn and live!
If you have a question please contact me at school, 703-494-4945, e-mail me at zuteslc@pwcs.edu, or write a note in your child's agenda.
