BRR! It is getting chilly outside!

We still go outside to play for recess on clear days as long as the temperature is above 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Please remember to dress your child in warmer clothes. Knit gloves and hats along with warmer jackets are good outdoor play clothes until the snow comes!

Reading

We would like to encourage families to read together.

Please take 20 – 30 minutes every day to read with your child.

American Sign Language

We would like to encourage all parents and family members to further their knowledge and use of sign language. This will help you communicate with your child and continue your child’s learning of language. Find a class, buy a book, and use a computer program. The key is to use it every day and practice, practice, practice.

Here is our monthly sign language link:

www.ASLpro.com

This site offers a main dictionary of sign language, some phrases, signs for babies, some religious signs, and even a quiz to practice your ability to remember and read sign language…  All for FREE!

This site also offers other resources for a cost.

Volunteer Interest?

If any parents would like to come in and help our class room by reading with a student, making materials, etc., we would greatly appreciate it and welcome you!

Thank you and have a great November and fun December!!
