PARENT INFORMATION

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY DRESS OUT POLICY

All students are required to dress out in the appropriate physical activity uniforms that each school requires. Some schools provide their own uniform that is available to purchase; others have requirements that are explained to the students upon arrival the first days of physical education class.

Failure to dress out in the appropriate attire and participate will have a negative impact on your child's physical education grade. Each school has a policy for participation; please make sure that you receive this information from your child's school.

MEDICAL EXCUSES

If your child has a temporary illness or injury, the parent may request that the student be excused from physical education. This request should be provided in written form to the teacher. If a student will miss five or more consecutive days due to illness or injury, a physician's notes is required.

In all cases of excused participation, students will be given meaningful health education assignments.
