The first session of the Night School Program will begin the week of September 21, 2009 and conclude January 25, 2010, excluding any make-up days. Classes will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Potomac High School and Stonewall Jackson High School. Each course will be taught two nights per week, at seven hours per week for a total of 108.5 hours per course, which is the total number of hours required to meet the state adult high school and alternative education requirements.
Registration Process
Please note that course offerings have been expanded; however, classes will not be held unless there is sufficient enrollment. Students may obtain registration forms in the Guidance Department. Completed registration forms may be submitted to Guidance beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2009 and concluding on Friday, September 18, 2009. The registration form must include the student identification number and counselor’s signature. Only a cashier’s check or money order will be accepted for payment made payable to Prince William County Public Schools. NO PERSONAL CHECKS OR CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.
The golden rod copy of the registration form should be given to the student at registration. Schools will retain the pink copy. All other copies of the form should be forwarded to the Office of Student Management and Alternative Programs (OSMAP) and marked for “Night School.” Students are registered for a class upon receipt of the registration form. In the event that classes are full, students will be contacted directly by the Night School Office.
The tuition payment is due in full at the time of registration. No special payment arrangements will be made. |
