"Building the capacity of schools and staff to achieve success in resource development."
Purpose:
The Grants office assists schools and departments to seek external funds to supplement, expand and enhance services, programs and professional development consistent with the School Division's priorities.
The Division's grants activities are coordinated by providing products and services to schools and departments in collaboration with other organizations.
Grants work has three major components:
- Identification and documentation of external funding sources in the public and private sectors that support the Division's priorities;
- Dissemination of information about grant opportunities through training workshops, publications, and electronic media; and
- Technical assistance in program planning, proposal writing and grants management.
