| VOLUNTEER RESOURCE SPEAKERS PROGRAM |
Our teachers would like to have speakers visit who can talk about personal experiences that provide classroom connections to the real world. No textbook author can convey enthusiasm to the degree that a speaker can, or set an example of responsible citizenship. You can make a difference in our schools by exciting and motivating students to explore new fields and acquire new skills. Be a valuable asset to the students in Prince William County by sharing your experiences and expertise from your careers, travels, hobbies, special interests or things you like best. Opportunities abound to share your artifacts, movies, souvenirs, recipes, research and knowledge to connect classroom curriculum to hands-on experience. Resource Speakers are asked to print, complete and return the Speaker Registration Form to the Prince William County Public Schools Community Relations Office. The information will be used to update files providing administrators and teachers with a list of speakers' names, work and/or home phone numbers, areas of interest, careers or vocations, and grade levels of students whom speakers would like to address. Teachers or administrators will contact you directly to arrange the dates and times convenient for you. Thank you for making a difference! |
