Important Information
 

Proposed Changes to Enterprise PTA Bylaws:

Article VII: Membership and Dues

 Section 9: Each member of this PTA/PTSA shall pay annual dues of $3.00 to the association. The amount of such annual dues shall include the portions payable to the local unit, the Virginia PTA/PTSA and the National PTA.

 Proposed Change: The PTA/PTSA shall pay the annual Virginia and the National PTA dues for all members.

 Reasoning: There is no longer a local unit due due. The PTA shall pay the annual Virginia and National dues for all members who volunteer 5 hours per school year.

Article IX: Duties of Officers

 Section 2: The vice-presidents shall:

  C. in the case of the first vice-president, shall serve as membership chair and volunteer coordinator;

 Proposed Change: in the case of the first vice-president, shall serve as membership chair

 Reasoning: Since the writing of the last by-laws the membership chair and volunteer coordinator have become two separate positions. 

Proposed changes will be discussed among the PTA committee on August 19, 2006. 
Changes will be voted on, by all PTA members, at the first PTA meeting on September 6, 2006.
