Independent Hill School was opened in 1968.
The complex in which Independent Hill School is located is a
former Air Force radar base, deeded to Prince William County
Schools. The school is named for the area, Independent Hill.
Program
Description
Independent Hill serves middle and high
school students from all over Prince William County. The Independent Hill School
curriculum contains both special and vocational programming.
Vocational training is offered in food service, institutional
services (laundry and custodial), adapted P.E., and a
school-work program. The vocational facilities include an
eat-in snack bar and commercial kitchen, a laundry room, a
barn with a horse and pony and a commercial greenhouse.
