A Message from Mrs. Rowe
Assistant Principal
I am very excited to begin my second year as assistant principal at King Elementary!   Excitement about learning is in the air among the staff and students as we set new goals to continue our journey towards excellence.

Our new school motto is, “D.R.E.A.M. Big!”   I'm sure you have noticed it proudly displayed in the front hall and read about it in the school discipline plan.   We think that it encompasses the message of Dr. King and the expectations every student should live by at King Elementary.   Mrs. Pumphrey and I are looking forward to recognizing our “dream” students though many positive incentives and activities this year.   We are confident that every student will be a “dream” student.

I encourage parents to get involved at King any way that you can.   There are many opportunities such as volunteering at our first Jog-a-thon,
serving as a greeter in the front lobby, helping students in classrooms, being a telephone tree contact and much, much more!   We truly appreciate any time you can give to our school.

I also would like to encourage you to stay in touch and keep the lines of communication open.   You will receive monthly school newsletters, as well as newsletters from your child’s teacher.   We will also be posting school activities and instructional calendars on our school website.   If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the school.   Communication is the key to any successful partnership!

Please join your child and the King staff as we work hard to accomplish our goals.   We want to ensure a safe, healthy, rigorous and engaging learning environment for every student.   I wish everyone a happy and successful year.

REMEMBER… DREAM BIG!
