pants that reveal underwear, touch or drag the floor shoes poorly secured to the feet or open toed/backless shoes on the playground or in the gym bare midriffs hats t-shirts with displays about drugs, violence, alcohol, tobacco, inappropriate language, and offensive symbols clothing with sheer material or netting, ripped or tattered clothing short-shorts or short skirts (minimum length should be fingertip length and/or mid-thigh) hair color and/or styles, which cause disruption to the educational environment any other clothing that is determined by school personnel to be a potential safety hazard or a possible source of disruption If a situation occurs where a student comes to school with clothing which is determined to be unsafe or inappropriate, he/she will be required to change clothing or will be sent home. The parent will be notified by telephone, note, letter, or behavior warning and requested to assist school personnel in resolving the concern. |
