We are continuing our rotations into classrooms for our guidance lessons. All lessons taught in classroom guidance follow the Prince William County School Counseling Objectives. We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Deanne Lewis, PWCS Student Assistant Program Specialist, who will be presenting a very important lesson to our second and fourth grade students on drug awareness on November 7. Mrs. Lewis provides valuable information delivered in a very non-threatening and age appropriate way.
Attention Fifth Grade Parents
Middle School Specialty Program Nights
Parents and students interested in learning more about middle school specialty programs should attend one of two scheduled information nights.
Tuesday, November 18 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Stonewall Middle School, 10100 Lomond Drive, Manassas
Wednesday November 19 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Godwin Middle School, 14800 Darbydale Avenue, Woodbridge.

In October our Kindergarten classes learned about workers in our school and the community. They learned that school is their job.
Mrs. Tracy and our Second Graders are working on the following objectives:
2A.1 Develop awareness of goal-setting steps
2A.2 Recognize the relationship between goal setting and accomplishing work
2A.3 Work independently to achieve academic success
2P.2 Develop awareness of individual differences
Mrs. Sinclair and our Fifth Graders are working on the following objectives:
5A.1 Set realistic long range goals
5A.2 Apply personal learning style
5A.3 Recognize the benefits of individual initiative and teamwork
5C.4 Acquire employability skills such as teamwork, problem-solving,organization
5P.7 Demonstrate effective responses to peer pressure and bullying situations
Our first and third grade classes will begin their first rotations of classroom guidance in November.
