PATROL
RESPONSIBILITIES ·
Learn
the pledge and commit it to memory. ·
Learning
and enforcing rules. ·
Maintain
good grades and complete all homework and class work assignments. ·
Display
a high level of maturity. ·
Be
dependable and on time at their post. ·
Be
polite, respectful and courteous. ·
Always
wear their belt and badge. ·
Stand
in correct position at all times. ·
Open
doors for students and adults entering and leaving the building while on
duty. ·
Talking,
eating or doing homework at their post is prohibited. ·
Never
leave their post to stop fights. ·
Never
leave their post to direct traffic. ·
Never
stand in the street. ·
Never
permit friends or relatives to wait for them at their post. ·
Report
all problems to the Sponsor(s). ·
Demonstrate
good leadership by obeying rules themselves. ·
Dress
appropriately for all types of weather. ·
Contact
the Crossing Guard, Sponsor, Bus driver or other adult immediately if there
is an emergency. ·
Learn
the flag guidelines and how to fold the flag. ·
Participate
in scheduled quizzes, essays and poster contests throughout the Safety Patrol
Program. To be eligible for Patrol
of the Year Honors, students must participate in all.
