PWCS Hosts Workshop for Aspiring Leaders
Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) will host the Building Leadership Capacity workshop series on Tuesday, November 10 at Hylton High School, 14051 Spriggs Road in Woodbridge. Teachers, current school administrators seeking advancement, and others who may be interested in pursuing administrative careers within a School Division are encouraged to attend.
The event, which runs from 4–6:30 p.m. and is preceded by a half-hour social time at 3:30 p.m., covers the process for becoming an administrator in PWCS and shares tips on selling yourself, articulating your vision, composing successful cover letters and resumes, and much more.
The following interactive sessions are scheduled:
- Role of Assistant Principals and Administrative Interns;
- Mock Interviews;
- Cover Letters and Resumes;
- Professional Learning Communities;
- Administrative Application Process;
- Site-Based Budget Process;
- Leading and Learning Opportunities;
- Baldrige in Education; and,
- Student Activities – Basic Operations.
