PWCS Receives National Digital School District Award
PWCS has tied for second place in the nation in the top-ten ranking of winners of the 2009 Digital School Districts Survey by the Center for Digital Education and the National School Boards Association. The Office of Information Technology Services led the submission of the prize winning entry.
The survey’s purpose is to recognize school districts and school boards across the nation whose use of digital technology in interfacing with students, parents and community, district governing, and bettering operations proved exceptional. NSBA Executive Director Anne L. Bryant said, “These districts are capitalizing on their ability to provide more transparent and efficient services at a time when budgets are tighter than ever.” See the Center for Digital Education news release.
