PWCS- Behind the Scenes: Re-Opening Schools After the 2010 Snowstorms
After the record snowfall of 2010, the dedicated employees of Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) worked around the clock in order to get schools ready to reopen. PWCS Facilities Director Randy Dasher explains the complex processes that went into safely reopening all 88 schools. Structural engineers, transportation coordinators for snowplows, principals and maintenance staff all played a part in ensuring a safe environment for the return of students and staff.
