As Occoquan’s school counselor, I facilitate learning through academic, career, and social/ emotional skill development. I use a comprehensive counseling program to promote student achievement and academic growth, model the principals of equity and fairness, and encourage life long learning. I continuously improve my program by incorporating technology into my lessons. As an advocate of the collaborative process, I enhance the potential of all students by working with families and community resources so that together we create a rich educational environment.
