Homework
Dear
Parents,
Your
child will be bringing home his/her homework bag each Monday. The bag will contain a poem that we have been
working on in the classroom. It will
also contain a handwriting sheet. Please
hang up the poem and have your child read it each day. You should
ask your child to point to different words or find the words that rhyme.
The
handwriting sheet should be completed
with a pencil. Your child should
trace the given letters and make several more just like the ones he/she
traced. Please encourage your child to
work slowly and carefully. It is very
important that the uppercase letters begin at the top line. None
of the letters should begin at the bottom line.
The handwriting sheet is due on Tuesday.
Your
child will be bringing home his/her homework bag on other days, as well. We will have math homework during the
week. Please check your child’s back
pack each day. The homework bag is always due back at school the next day.
We
will discuss homework in further detail at Back to School Night on September 18th.
