From Our Principal
The last quarter of School Year 2007-2008 is here!! At this busy time of year, with sports activities, recitals, year-end programs, etc., it may be difficult to keep routines and focus on academics. The extra efforts will be worth your time and energy since the result will be shown in your child’s learning. Your child’s growth from the first day of school to the last day of school is something we take very serious at Old Bridge Elementary. This growth will be shared with you through teacher conversations, test results, and report cards during the last quarter. Please take advantage of your child’s teacher’s invitation to communicate regarding your child’s progress.
WE CONTINUE TO NEED YOUR HELP!! Teaching and learning will continue through June 13, 2008. Remember your attention and involvement show your child that school is important. Your help in reviewing the agenda, assuring that homework is completed, and encouraging your child to practice his / her best behavior will help ensure a successful end to the school year. Time is so valuable and we want each child to have the best opportunities to learn every day. Thank you, your support helps strengthen the “excellent” learning environment that we strive to provide!
The PTO sponsored Sock Hop was again a huge success! A special thanks to Mrs. Griese, Sock Hop Committee Chair, and the entire committee for all the organization, preparation, and implementation to make the event special for our students. Also, a special thanks to Mrs. McInnis for soliciting over 100 prizes to raffle during the event. Our PTO board is very much appreciated for the many wonderful events and hard work they have accomplished so far this year.
We have a couple of housekeeping items. If you are moving over the summer, please notify the front office. This will assist us in planning for the 2008-09 school year. Thank you for your continued patience with our signing out procedures during dismissal. We are revising the procedures for the 08-09 school year. We thank you for helping us maintain a safe and orderly environment for every student.
