Student Involvements

• Participate in 10 hours of school related activities for each child enrolled at Porter (parent workshops, mentoring, volunteer programs, PTCO/PTO, or advisory).
• Support the Prince William County Public Schools Code of Behavior.
• Support the Porter Code of Conduct, policies, and academic standards.
• Reinforce appropriate behavior standards, study habits, and good attendance.
• Promote self-esteem, self-respect and self-empowerment.

Parent Involvement

Important communication from the Principal and teachers will be sent home on Wednesdays in the school “Patriot” folder. Please be sure to check your child’s folder every Wednesday.

Below is a list of some of the many exciting activities we have planned for Porter this year; which are also great outlets for parents to get involved.  Many are also available options for  volunteering.

• Resource File (Parents who have skills to act as mentors, guest speakers, volunteers, or provide resources for educational projects. You may call the office if you are interested. Ask for the library/resource assistant.)
