Dear Parents, Our first week at Bristow Run was AWESOME! However, I am in great need of an additional room mother and two volunteers to be Emergency Tree callers. A room mother coordinates our 3 school parties by calling volunteers to bake and bring in goodies, paper goods or to lead a craft with the kids. We will have a Fall Party in Nov., A Winter Party in Dec. and a Friendship Party in February. A Emergency Phone Tree caller would call parents in the event of an early dismissal due to inclement weather, etc… Each caller would be responsible for calling ½ of the families. Our Academics For the next three weeks we will be learning and practicing our first grade routine. We will be discussing school rules and playground safety. We will be reviewing color words, letters & sounds and counting to 100.

Grading System S+ = Above & Beyond S = On Grade Level N = Needs Help to Complete Behavior Calendar If your child follows school rules, he or she will color their calendar “GREEN” for the day. Otherwise, the calendar will stay “WHITE” and a note will be sent home. Nightly Reading Program Tonight your child is bringing home his/her Reading Folder. Listen to your child read to you or you may read to your child for 20 minutes each night. Then sign the calendar inside the Reading Folder. Campbell’s Labels Campbell’s Labels and Box Tops are back!
