Agendas:
All students will
be required to have an agenda to write down assignments and projects. Parent
signatures are required nightly. Agendas have been provided for each student.
However, if it is lost, you will need to replace it.
Discipline-
Fifth grade will
be following the Bristow Run Panther Pride discipline program. All information
is in your parent handbook so be sure to read the school policy. Please sign and
return the sheet indicating you have read the guide to your classroom
teacher.
Friday
Folders-
Each Friday your
student will bring home a folder with his/her graded work. The students
are required to write down their assignments, date given and grade. This folder
is used all year long. Each Friday you need to sit down and review your child’s
work with him/her. This allows each student to keep track of their own work and
this allows the student to be responsible for their own learning. All Friday
Folders are due Monday morning with a parent signature on the weekly signature
sheet.
Communication-
I will send home
monthly newsletters with updated classroom information. Please feel free to
contact me at Bristow Run at 703-753-7741. You may also email me at stephecl@pwcs.edu .
Contact me
whenever you have questions or just need to let me know
something.
Birthdays-
I love to
celebrate birthdays! They are special for each child. Please feel free to send
in a special treat to share with the class. Send me a note letting me know the
day before your child’s birthday.
Volunteers-
I enjoy having
parents volunteer in the class, at school and helping out from home. Please let
me know what you would like to do. Our class needs your time and support to make
this a successful year.
