Each school in Prince William County has an advisory council composed of parents and school staff. The emphasis of each council is on planning, budget, and evaluation of results of educational programs.
Each year the advisory council reviews the goals and objectives set for the school in its annual school plan. At the same time, members of the council are preparing the annual school plan for the following school year.
The annual school plan reflects the goals for the school district set by the School Board each year and may include goals to improve and enhance student growth and learning based on assessment of needs at the school level.
The Henderson Advisory Team currently meets at 4:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month in the school's library (unless school is not in session on that day). All meetings are open to the public, and an open chair time is set aside at the beginning of each meeting for citizen comments. Please contact the principal or chair no later than the Friday prior to the meeting to be placed on the agenda.
