    Beville Participates in Special Olympics Torch Run

    7 Beville Athletes joined Special Olympians, School Resource Officer Eric Udell, Assistant Principal Brian Heffron and many other members of the law enforcement community, in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.  All Students were able to finish the running of the 11.5 mile stretch of route 1 from the Occoquan River to the Quantico Marine Base.  Carl Brewster received the torch from the Fairfax Law Enforcement group on behalf of Prince William County Law Enforcement.

    8th Grade Sendoff Sceduled for June 12
    The Eighth Grade Send-Off will be held on the evening of June 12 at C.D, Hylton High School. Doors will open at 6:30. All are welcome. Invitations and additional information has been mailed to each eighth grade student's home.  For additional information contact Jane Houser.

     Seeking Parental Input on the OLWEUS Program at BVMS
    Beville Middle School has just completed its implementation year of the Olweus Anti-Bullying program. The members of teh Olweus Committee at Beville are requesting that parents print and complete the Olweus Parent Survey and then return it to Beville's front office by June 10.

    Thumbs Up!  for the IB and Rising 6th Grade Orientation
    On the evening of May 22, 2008, Beville Middle School held its annual 6th Grade Orientation. Things were handled a little bit differently this year, but by all accounts it was a big success.  Thank you to all who assisted in this endeavor, especially the Beville Students who shared their wisdom!  We all benefited from this event, especially those who are soon to join the Beville Family!

    Beville  "Books for Rwanda" Bookdrive : a Tremendous Success!
     
      What at a tremendous outpouring of support from our students and staff!!
      The 6th grade donated approximately 600 books, 7th grade approximately 75 books, and 8th grade donated approximately 200 books.  Altogether 1680 books were collected and sent to Rwanda.
      Thank you all for your dedication to this cause!

    Academic Assistance is Never more than a bus-ride away!
    Did you know that after-school activity buses run daily from Beville Middle School?  Academic/activities buses depart Beville daily at 5:05pm.  A second bus departs Beville at 4:20pm on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons to serve students who participate in clubs and other student events.

    Market Day orders are due today. Pickup on 6/17 at King Elem. 6:30-7:30 pm

    8th Grade Send-off at Hylton High School: Doors open at 6:30 pm

    Friday, 6/13:
    Last Day of School : Students will be dismissed at 11:00 am
    Report cards will be mailed home on Friday, June 20
