The Stonewall Middle School Band Program is in place to help students grow as musicians and as students. Learning to play an instrument is a wonderful opportunity available to students.   The bands play many concerts during the school year.  We also play during pep-rallies, special events, and even a high school football game!  Eighth grade band members and select seventh grade band members will also travel to different schools and centers for competitions, auditions, and Solo/Ensemble Festivals.  Students do not need prior experience to participate in band.  We have beginning classes in 6th and 7th grade.  Students can choose to play flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion.  While band students have fun making music in band, they also develop critical thinking skills, self discipline, and communication skills that will help them throughout life.
