  • The Triangle School Library Media Center serves students and staff in grades
    K - 5.
  • Kindergarten - 1 book
    
 
  • To encourage students to read daily, the library is open for check out anytime during the school day.
  • First Grade - 2 books
    
 
  • Books and magazines may be checked out until the next scheduled library class.
  • Second Grade - 2 books
    
 
  • If any item is overdue, NO books may be borrowed until it is returned. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student must pay for the book before borrowing other materials.

Accelerated Reader

    

Library Home Page

Accelerated Reader is an individualized reading program that enables children to take a comprehension test on books available through the Triangle School library and the public library. The tests are made up of 5-10 multiple choice questions. Accelerated Reader tests are assigned a reading level so that your child can select books that they can read independently. Students at Triangle may take AR tests on their classroom computer or library computers.

Virginia Readers Choice (formerly Virginia Young Readers Program)

All students at Triangle are eligible to participate in the Virginia Readers Choice (VRC) Program, which is sponsored by the Virginia State Reading Association. To become a qualified voter, a student must be exposed to at least four of the nominated books at any level. After passing an Accelerated Reader quiz on a nominated book, a student will be added to our VRC chart in the library. In March, all qualified voters will be invited to a voting celebration.
