COUNTY TEACHERS EARN NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION Eight Prince William County Public Schools teachers have earned certification by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Certification indicates that the teachers have met a set of standards established by the National Board that define the knowledge, skills, and accomplishments that comprise teaching excellence. The following educators will be recognized by the School Board at a
reception on December 17. Their names, schools and their fields
of certification are: Susan Demeria, Signal Hill Elementary School, Middle
Childhood/Generalist; Rose Gallitz, Woodbridge Senior High School, Adolescence
and Young Adulthood/Social Studies; Eric Hoefler, Woodbridge Senior High
School, Adolescence and Young Adulthood/English; Nick Maneno, Old Bridge
Elementary School, Middle Childhood/Generalist; Dawn Moulen, Woodbridge
Senior High School, Early Childhood Through Young Adulthood/Library Media;
Trish Purschwitz, Signal Hill Elementary School, Middle Childhood/Generalist;
Heather Thorstad, Woodbridge Senior High School, Adolescence and Young
Adulthood/English; and Jeanette Spann, Minnieville Elementary School, Early
Childhood/Generalist.
