WOODBRIDGE TEACHER HONORED AS OUTSTANDING NEW CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION TEACHER Nancy Burchell, a vocational teacher at Woodbridge Senior High School, was selected by the Virginia Association of Trade and Industrial Educators as the Outstanding New Career and Technical Education Teacher for the previous school year. Burchell, the former owner of Get It Together Hair Designs, has taught cosmetology at Woodbridge Senior High School since 1998. A member of the Hair Virginia teaching team, she was also the past president of the Virginia Cosmetology Association. Burchell is the director of Look Good Feel Better for the American Cancer Society and serves as chairman of District V for Virginia Skills USA and secretary of the Virginia Association of Trade and Industrial Educators. Burchell will now compete for the New Teacher of the Year Award of the
Virginia Association for Career and Technical Education.
