ASHLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARY WINS NEH GRANT The National Endowment for the Humanities has selected the Ashland Elementary
School library to receive the 2004 We the People Bookshelf. The Bookshelf
is a part of the National Endowment for the Humanities’ three year, $100
million We the People initiative to increase the study and understanding
of American history and heritage. Jane Frowert, Librarian at Ashland
Elementary School, applied for the grant and will receive 15 hardcover
classic books and other materials reflecting the theme of “Courage.”
