 Woodbridge Senior High School senior Lewis Hoge’s play was selected as one of ten that was performed last weekend at the Old Vat Room at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C.  Arena Stage professional actors performed in Lewis’s play entitled “The Big Let Down.”

The play is about five people who are overcoming fear and disappointment.  Last year Lewis wrote the play for fun, experimenting with different types of writing.  Cathy Hailey, his English and Creative Writing teacher, suggested that he submit it in the Fourth Annual Arena Stage Ten-Minute Play Writing Competition.  More than 325 entries were received and only ten were selected.

Lewis will attend the University of Virginia and plans to study economics.
