The Prince William County School Board will recognize the school division’s summa cum laude graduates at a reception and ceremony on Monday, June 9, at Forest Park High School.  The students earned the distinction of summa cum laude by attaining a grade point average of 4.0 or higher.  

The Woodbridge Senior High School Viking Sinfonietta, under the direction of G. Bud Hearne, will present a musical prelude.  Edward L. Kelly, superintendent of schools, and Lucy S. Beauchamp, chairman of the School Board, will offer opening remarks.  Principals of the eight Prince William County High Schools will award certificates to the summa cum laude graduates.     A representative from the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County, a magnet school attended by some Prince William students, will present certificates to the Prince William students who attained a 4.0 average at that school.
