OUTSTANDING STAFF MEMBER AT OSBOURN PARK HIGH SCHOOL AWARDED Elaine Beverly, guidance department secretary for Osbourn Park High School since 1974, received the school’s Outstanding Classified Staff Member Award this year. The award is one of three that the high school generates to allow the entire school staff to select someone they would like to honor with special recognition for performing in an outstanding manner. In addition to an outstanding classified staff member, Osbourn Park High School staff also chooses one new educator and one outstanding educator for the year. Beverly was honored with a standing ovation by school staff at the faculty luncheon held on Wednesday, June 16, 2004. Currently the secretary to the director of the guidance department, Beverly was once the only administrative staff in that office, which now has two secretaries and a registrar. Mary Ann White, special education teacher at Osbourn Park, said of Beverly, “She is truly an asset to our school and one of the most polite, caring, hardworking and receptive staff members in the school. So many people ask favors of her and she always does her best to meet the requests and always with a smile.” # # #
