SCHOOLS TO BE FEATURED ON ‘CHAMPIONS OF INDUSTRY’
PROGRAM
Prince William County Public Schools will be featured in a television show entitled "Champions of Industry – Spotlight on Education" which will be broadcast locally on Comcast Communications Channel 3 on Thursday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, September 27 at 8:00 p.m. The “Champions of Industry” program, produced and paid for by Pat Summerall Productions, features organizations considered to be the very best within their respective industry. The show focuses on the success of Prince William County Public Schools and features teachers and students at different locations across the County. Prince William County Public Schools is the third largest school division in Virginia, with 74 schools and an expected student enrollment in September 2003 of 62,389. In 1998, Prince William County Public Schools received the U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award. In 2001, Stonewall Jackson High School, one of eight County high schools, was named by Time as the best high school in America. In 2003, County high schools were ranked highly in Newsweek's list of outstanding high schools. The Washington Post High School Challenge Index ranks Prince William sixth out of 20 local area school divisions. ###
