PRINCIPAL AT SAUNDERS MIDDLE SCHOOL, AUTHOR AND ACHIEVER

Pat Puttre, principal at Saunders Middle School, is a contributing author to the Winter 2005 issue of The Crucial Link, the Virginia Middle School Association newsletter. Puttre is also profiled in an accompanying article in the same issue titled "The Heart of a School - An Interview with Four Wonderfully Different Middle School Principals." Saunders Middle School was recognized as a "Virginia School to Watch" last year, a distinction awarded to high-performing middle schools by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform.
