2001-2002 School of Excellence

At a celebration for school staff Nokesville Elementary School received the School of Excellence Award for the second year. 

Dr. Wayne Ralston, Principal, Mrs. Lucy Beauchamp, Dr. Edward L. Kelly, and Associate Superintendents presented awards to all school employees.

Dr. Ralston accepted a School of Excellence commemorative flag on behalf of Nokesville Elementary at a school board awards ceremony.

Some of the reasons Nokesville Elementary was selected as a School of Excellence are:

• Using data available from the Planning and Assessment Office, the Curriculum Management System, and the Clarity program, the school is able to focus instruction to meet the needs of each student. 
• The faculty, Advisory Council, and Parent Teacher Association work together to support and provide high quality programs.

• On any day visitors come to the school they will see guest readers, gardeners, library aides, tutors, mentors, artists, and clerical support people sharing at school. The adage says, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and the ‘village’ of Nokesville is a wonderful place to be a child.
